Gabriel Lasala, M.D. (Medical Director)

Dr. Lasala is the President and Co-Founder of TCA Research, a cardiologist who is the president of TCA Clinic since 1997. TCA is the largest group of cardiologists in the greater New Orleans area. TCA runs one of the most advanced practices in the country utilizing the latest technology such as 64 slice CT coronary angiography, cath lab, laser treatments and many other new emergent modalities.

Dr. Lasala has been involved in research since 1981 and is the president and founder of TCA Research, a company with extensive experience in clinical trials.

The activities of these 2 companies were crucial for Dr. Lasala to understand that the next step was to develop regenerative medicine through the utilization of stem cells. After much research, Dr Lasala contacted Dr Minguell a distinguished cell biologist, who has been working for many years in basic aspects of adult stem cells. The two doctors established the foundations of TCA Cellular Therapy. 

Jose J Minguell, M.D. (Scientific Director)

Dr. Jose J Minguell, has been working closely with Dr. Gabriel Lasala for over five years. He is a renowned scientist for his contributions to research in the field of Adult Stem Cells Biology. Until 2006, Dr. Minguell was the Director of Department of Cellular Therapy, Universidad de Chile in Santiago, and also led the Bone Marrow Transplant Program Laboratory at Clinica Las Condes, Santiago Chile. In 2007 he relocated to Covington, LA and became the Scientific Director of TCA Cellular Therapy and LifeSource Cryobank.

Vicki Nicely (Administrative Director)

Vicki Nicely who is a partner and Co-Founder, has extensive experience in clinical trials, and has been instrumental in all administrative and regulatory processes of clinical trials as a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) and business partner of TCA Research, LLC for the past eight years.
